GEORGETOWN, TX, January 27, 2022 – Embree Capital Markets Group, Inc., a real estate investment advisor and brokerage platform with headquarters in Georgetown, Texas, announced senior staffing changes which began at the start of 2022.

Jim Embree has been promoted to Executive Chairman (formerly Chief Executive Officer); Rocky Hardin has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (formerly President); and Josiah Byrnes has been promoted to President (formerly Executive Vice President) and added as a member of the Board of Directors and a new shareholder for Embree Capital Markets Group, Inc.

According to Jim Embree, Executive Chairman, “Josiah has been a key part of Embree Capital Markets Group since its beginning. Josiah has the knowledge, experience, and business acumen to continue leading and managing the company and its investor partners through the always-challenging financial landscape. All of the shareholders, management, and employees of Embree Capital Markets Group are excited to have Josiah as President and shareholder.”

As Executive Vice President of Embree Capital Markets Group, Inc., Josiah helped guide the formation and execution of diversified real estate capital structures and investment strategies for individual, institutional, and international investors, developers, and tenants.  Prior to joining Embree Capital Markets Group, Inc. in 2010, Josiah Byrnes served as a Sales Director with several national real estate syndicators, including Cole Real Estate Investments, Bluerock Real Estate, and CBC Worldwide, where he participated in sales of securitized §1031 Exchange offerings, non-traded REITs, and various opportunistic debt and private equity funds in excess of one billion dollars of total capitalized value. Josiah also previously served as a personal financial analyst for a subsidiary of Citigroup, where he assisted clients with insurance, mortgage, and investment solutions.

Josiah holds both a Master of Real Estate Development degree from Arizona State and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado.  Josiah also has an active Arizona real estate license and is a member of several industry associations, such as the Innovating Commerce Serving Communities (ICSC), as well as other philanthropic organizations.

In addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors for each of the Embree Group of Companies, Rocky serves as President on the Board of Directors of the Tarleton State University Foundation, Inc., the Advisory Board of the College of Business at Tarleton State University, and is an active member of Innovating Commerce Serving Communities (ICSC).

Rocky graduated from Tarleton State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance and subsequently received his license from the State Board of Public Accountancy to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas in 1986.  He has extensive experience in public accounting, private industry, federal and state taxation.

Rocky Hardin will continue to provide guidance and leadership to the company as its new Chief Executive Officer, ensuring a seamless and successful transition of leadership.  Rocky will also continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors for each of the Embree Group of Companies and remains Executive Vice President of Embree Construction Group, Inc., and Embree Development Group, Inc.
