Glenn McDonald graduated from Texas A&M University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado. He is also a retired Captain from the U.S. Army Reserve, Corps of Engineers.

Mr. McDonald began his career as a structural engineer for Brown & Root, Inc. in Houston, TX designing offshore structures for the oil industry. Then, following his military service and relocation to Colorado, he worked in the precast/prestress concrete industry for five years with Rocky Mountain Prestress, one of the nations leading prestress firms, where he was responsible for design and sales of commercial, institutional and resort all utilizing precast/prestress structural frames.

For the next eleven years, Mr. McDonald focused on his career in Construction Management within the commercial, institutional and resort sectors of the market. He worked for Petry-Vappi Construction, Vail Associates, Kyburz Construction, and the Linclay Corporation throughout the Rocky Mountain region and constructed a diverse range of projects which included schools, detention facilities, a hospital, office buildings, hotels, parking garages, post offices and numerous resort development projects.

In 1986, Mr. McDonald joined Western Development Corporation, a national developer of regional shopping malls based in Washington DC. His projects included the Potomac Mills Mall, one of the nation’s largest outlet malls located in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Following his relocation to Texas in 1990, Mr. McDonald has served with two nationally recognized general construction firms. As a Division Manager and Vice President of the Landmark Organization for over four years, he managed the development of a hotel at Fort Irwin in California, schools in Texas and a variety of correctional projects including both juvenile and adult facilities for a nationally recognized private prison operator all using the Design/Build method of delivery.

With the Embree Construction Group, Inc. for nearly nine years, Mr. McDonald has served as a Project Manager and Division Manager overseeing the design and construction of numerous commercial and retail projects for national clients that serve the automotive, banking, day care, car rental and other specialty retail sectors. Now as Vice President, Mr. McDonald is responsible for Pre-construction services and New Client Development.
